About
Jess has been in the leather industry since 2017 traditionally trained as a saddler through the Cordwainers Diploma in saddlery, bridle and harness making at Capel Manor College. Through training in traditional leather work Jess has developed a variety of techniques to master her skills.
The name Bobbin Leather is a tribute to her beloved chocolate labrador, Coco. After her passing in 2019, she found solace in an unexpected encounter. That spring, a nest of baby robins appeared in her garden, captivated by their charm, she began calling them bobbins, short for baby robin. On the day the fledglings took their first flight, one tiny robin flew into her hand. That fleeting moment filled her with hope, and the birds footprints have since become a cherished symbol of that hope, now embodied in her brand.
Jess is an artisan leather crafter with a deep passion for transforming high quality leather into timeless, functional creations. Trained in saddlery, her work blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design, celebrating the artistry of leather through every stitch and detail.
